Egypt has one of the deepest, most institutionalised scholarship pipelines on the continent. Fulbright Egypt is one of the world's largest single-country Fulbright programmes, and Egyptian candidates consistently place in Chevening, DAAD EPOS, Erasmus Mundus, Knight-Hennessy and Schwarzman Scholars.
Where Egyptians win. The U.S. (Fulbright Egypt, MIT, Stanford, Harvard need-based aid; Knight-Hennessy), Germany (DAAD), the UK (Chevening, Commonwealth), the EU (Erasmus Mundus), China (Schwarzman, CSC) and Japan (MEXT).
Calendar. Fulbright Egypt closes in April–May, Chevening in early November, DAAD between August and October, Erasmus Mundus in January–February, and MEXT Embassy track in May–June.
