These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of scholarshipsforafricans.com (the "Site") operated by Scholarships for Africans ("we", "us", "our"). By using the Site you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site.

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 16 years old to use the Site. If you use the Site on behalf of an organisation, you represent that you have authority to bind that organisation.

2. Accounts

• You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure.
• You agree to provide accurate information and to keep it up to date.
• We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or applicable law.

3. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Use the Site for any unlawful, fraudulent or harmful purpose.
• Scrape, harvest or copy substantial portions of the Site without written permission.
• Interfere with the Site's operation, security or other users' use.
• Submit content that is defamatory, infringing, obscene or hateful.
• Misrepresent your identity or affiliation with any person or organisation.

4. Scholarship information

We curate scholarship listings from public sources and our own research. While we work hard to keep them accurate, deadlines, eligibility and funding amounts change frequently and may contain errors. Always verify details with the official provider before applying. We are not affiliated with the scholarship providers we feature unless explicitly stated.

5. Intellectual property

All editorial content, code, design, and trademarks on the Site are owned by Scholarships for Africans or our licensors and are protected by copyright and other laws. You may share links and short excerpts with attribution; you may not republish, modify or create derivative works without written permission.

6. User-submitted content

If you submit feedback, comments or suggestions, you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to use them to operate and improve the Site. You represent that you own the rights to anything you submit.

7. Third-party links

The Site links to third-party websites, including official scholarship pages. We do not control and are not responsible for the content, policies or practices of those sites. Visiting them is at your own risk.

8. Disclaimers

9. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Scholarships for Africans and its contributors will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, revenue, data or opportunity (including lost scholarship awards), arising out of or relating to your use of the Site. Our aggregate liability for any claim is limited to USD 100.

10. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Scholarships for Africans from any claim arising out of your breach of these Terms, your misuse of the Site, or your violation of any law or third-party right.

11. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Site at any time, with or without notice, if we believe you have violated these Terms. You may stop using the Site at any time.

12. Changes to the Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Site after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

13. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws applicable in the jurisdiction in which we operate, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles. Disputes will be resolved in the courts of competent jurisdiction in that location.
