### Undergraduate Scholarships for International Students
Listed below are some funding options for prospective undergraduate international students:
#### Edinburgh Global Undergraduate Mathematics Scholarships
The [Edinburgh Global Undergraduate Mathematics Scholarships](https://www.ed.ac.uk/student-funding/undergraduate/international/mathematics) are worth £5,000 per year and are tenable for the duration of the program of study, subject to satisfactory academic progress. Scholarships are available to Mathematics students of outstanding ability from countries outside the UK and Ireland.
On another note, a student is deemed to have made Satisfactory Progress in each year if there has been a formal School decision of either “Progress” or “Conditional Progression”, without the student needing to repeat a year. If a student does not make satisfactory progress in any one year, the award will terminate from that point onwards.
#### Robertson International Scholarships
The School of History, Classics, and Archaeology is offering up to 5 scholarships each worth £1,000. With the [Robertson International Scholarships](https://www.ed.ac.uk/student-funding/undergraduate/international/robertson), overseas undergraduate students are given discounts on international tuition fee rates tenable for one year.
#### Royal (Dick) School of Veterinary Studies International Scholarship
The [Royal (Dick) School of Veterinary Studies](https://www.ed.ac.uk/student-funding/undergraduate/international/vet) is offering two scholarships for overseas students beginning their studies on the BVM&S full-time program. Each scholarship is worth £5,000 per year and is tenable for the duration of your degree program, subject to satisfactory progress.
#### Coca-Cola First Generation Scholarship
The University of Edinburgh and Coca-Cola will offer three scholarships to undergraduate students from Bulgaria, Poland, and Romania for eligible degree programs commencing study in September 2021. ### Postgraduate Scholarships for Africans
Funding for international undergraduate and postgraduate students is made available per region and can be subject-specific. This is in addition to financial assistance provided by UK government agencies and external funding sources.

International students from Africa are eligible for the following scholarships:
#### Beit Trust and University of Edinburgh Scholarship
The [Beit Trust and the University of Edinburgh Scholarships](https://www.ed.ac.uk/student-funding/postgraduate/international/region/africa/beit-trust) jointly fund postgraduate students from Malawi, Zambia, and Zimbabwe to undertake a masters program.
Nyerere Postgraduate Scholarship
The [Nyerere Scholarships](https://www.ed.ac.uk/student-funding/postgraduate/international/region/africa/nyerere) provide funding for talented Tanzanian students to follow in Nyerere’s footsteps and study at the University of Edinburgh.
Through the generous support provided by a donor, the Centre of African Studies will offer a one-year postgraduate scholarship to a student domiciled in Tanzania to study a masters-level program in the Centre of African Studies.
Moreover, the scholarship will cover Tuition Fees and an annual stipend of £13,500.
Chevening Scholarships
The [Chevening Scholarships](https://scholarshipsforafricans.com/chevening-scholarship-all-you-need-to-know-to-study-in-the-uk/) are awarded to outstanding scholars with leadership potential across a broad range of fields, including politics, business, the media, civil society, religion, and academia.
Awards are typically for a one-year master’s degree at partner universities across the UK.
#### Commonwealth Scholarship and Fellowship Plan (CSFP)
Seven types of awards are made available by the [Commonwealth Scholarship Commission](https://www.ed.ac.uk/student-funding/postgraduate/international/other-funding/commonwealth). The awards are as follows:
- Scholarships for PhD research
- Scholarships for Masters study
- Shared Scholarships with UK universities in support of Masters programmes
- Academic Fellowships for staff serving in developing country universities
- Split-site Scholarships for PhD students to spend up to one year in the UK
- Professional Fellowships for mid-career professionals in developing countries
- Distance Learning Scholarships for developing country students to study UK Masters degree courses while living in their own countries
#### Commonwealth Shared Scholarship Scheme
Scholarships for Africans and other Commonwealth nationalities who would otherwise not be able to study in the United Kingdom are given support through the [Commonwealth Shared Scholarship Scheme](https://www.ed.ac.uk/student-funding/postgraduate/international/other-funding/commonwealth-shared). The awards will only be available for a year. Subsequently, candidates are required to return promptly to their home country.

#### The Catto Combined MSc and PhD Scholarships
The Centre of African Studies, University of Edinburgh offers 2 full scholarships for suitable applicants to study for an MSc in Africa and International Development and subsequent PhD in African Studies.
Funding from the [Stephen Gordon Catto Charitable Trust](https://www.ed.ac.uk/student-funding/postgraduate/international/humanities/social-political-science/catto) and will cover full fees as well as a monthly maintenance stipend throughout the one-year MSc and subsequent three years of PhD study.
Edinburgh Doctoral College Scholarships
University tuition fee as well as a stipend of £15,609p.a will be covered by the [Edinburgh Doctoral College Scholarships](https://www.ed.ac.uk/student-funding/postgraduate/international/doctoral-college). Subject to satisfactory progress, the scholarships for Africans and other international postgraduate students are awarded for between three and four years as agreed by the School/Deanery (or pro-rata for part-time).
GREAT Scholarships for a Sustainable Future Scheme
Under the University of Edinburgh, two Scholarships at the value of £10,000 will be available for nationals from Pakistan and Nigeria applying to the MSc in Climate Change, Finance and Investment.
Launched in partnership with the British Council and the UK government’s GREAT Britain Campaign, the [GREAT Scholarships](https://www.ed.ac.uk/student-funding/postgraduate/international/region/asia/great-sustainable-future) for a Sustainable Future scheme offers scholarships to qualifying students from Egypt, Nigeria, Pakistan, Turkey, and Vietnam to undertake postgraduate taught studies in the UK from autumn 2021 in climate change-related courses.
