About the Commonwealth Professional Fellowships (2026)

Commonwealth Professional Fellowships fund mid-career professionals from low- and middle-income Commonwealth countries to spend 3 to 12 months at a UK host organisation — a university, NGO, professional body, regulatory agency or research institute. The placement is co-designed with the host and tightly focused on a defined professional skill the fellow will bring back home. ## Why this scholarship matters for African applicants Unlike academic scholarships, these fellowships are designed for working professionals (typically 5+ years' experience) in policy, health, education, civil service, journalism, governance and the creative industries.
