The U.S. funds Tanzanian Masters and PhD candidates through Fulbright Foreign Student, Mastercard Foundation Scholars at Berkeley, Michigan and Arizona State, and need-blind aid at Harvard, MIT, Yale, Princeton and Amherst. Tanzanian PhDs in STEM are typically fully funded by host departments with tuition waivers and stipends of USD 30–55k.
