Considered the largest fully endowed scholars program in the world, the Knight-Hennessy Scholars Program hopes to develop a new generation of global leaders.
Through their demonstrated leadership and civic commitment, Stanford scholars are entitled to receive full funding to pursue a wide-ranging graduate education at Stanford.

## Knight-Hennessy Scholars Program Benefits
The Stanford education of Knight-Hennessy Scholars is fully funded.
Full funding includes tuition, stipend, graduate program, and related academic expenses, with additional financial support available.
In addition, recipients of the program may choose to pursue any graduate degree at Stanford, from PhDs in arts, education, engineering, humanities, or social sciences to professional degrees in business, law, or medicine.
Scholars can also build skills in leadership and communication that will empower them to work across disciplines and to scale creative solutions for complex challenges.
## Stanford Program Duration
The Knight-Hennessy Scholars Program funds up to the first three years of a scholar’s graduate education. If their degree program exceeds three years – such as an MD or PhD program, or a Stanford dual / joint-degree program – then the Stanford home department will fund the remainder of the scholar’s education to the extent consistent with its standard funding commitment for that program.

In Stanford University’s admission process, they consider any student who is neither a U.S. citizen nor U.S. permanent resident to be an international student.
Members of the Stanford admission staff specialize in evaluating educational systems from countries around the world. As such, they will consider applications within the context of the resources available to the aspiring scholar in a specific country.
Furthermore, the institution recognizes the educational procedures within one’s school and country as well as cultural and regional differences. Regardless of citizenship, applicants are reviewed in the context and country where they attend high school.
## Scholarship Eligibility Criteria
The organizers encourage applications to Knight-Hennessy Scholars from citizens of all countries.
To be eligible for graduate study, an applicant must hold the equivalent of a US bachelor’s degree from a college or university of recognized standing.
One is eligible to apply to the Knight-Hennessy Scholars program if they are applying to enroll in any full-time graduate degree program at Stanford (for example, but not limited to, DFA, Eng, JD, MA, MBA, MD, MFA, MS, or PhD) or if they plan on pursuing one of Stanford’s many joint- and dual- graduate degree options (for example, but not limited to, MD+PhD, JD+MA, MBA+MS).
If one has earned their bachelor’s degree in 2014 or later, the applicant is eligible to apply (2012 or later for US Military).
