Perlego Future Leaders in Tech is Offering a $20,000 Scholarship for Women and Minorities

Perlego, a digital library service company, is awarding a $20,000 scholarship for women and minorities through the Future Leaders in Tech scheme.

Perlego Future Leaders in Tech Scholarship Details

Perlego is a commercial provider of eBooks, selling direct to students. The online library subscription gives you unlimited access to over 600,000 textbooks and academic titles.

As an EdTech (educational technology) company, Perlego has seen firsthand the importance of technology in breaking down the barriers to education. As such, they want to ensure that the tech industry is as inclusive as we believe it should be.

With this goal in mind, the company has launched its Bursary Programme to promote a cause close to its heart – Diversity in Tech.

Through their Future Leaders in Tech scholarship program, one grand prize winner will receive a scholarship of $5,000/year for 4 years of college/university. In addition, they will receive a 1-3 month internship after graduation.

Meanwhile, two runner-ups will each receive an annual subscription to Perlego.

Eligibility for the Scholarship

The Perlego Future Leaders in Tech Scholarship is open to current high school and college students meeting the following criteria:  

• This opportunity is a scholarship for women and minorities. As such, it will only be open to women and women of color in need of financial assistance to finished their studies.
• The women applicants must be interested in and/or studying technology, computer science, or engineering.
• Lastly, the applicants must have a minimum GPA of 3.0.
