Frequently asked questions
Is the Émile Boutmy a full scholarship?
It can be — the full Boutmy tier (€13,000 undergrad / €19,000 Master's) covers tuition and contributes to living costs. Partial Boutmy awards just waive part of tuition. The level you receive depends on your family income.
Which African countries are eligible?
All non-EU African countries. Applicants are evaluated on academic strength and demonstrated financial need.
Can I get Boutmy plus another French scholarship?
You can combine Boutmy with the Eiffel Excellence Scholarship for Master's (different administration), but normally not with French government aid. Always declare other awards.
What language do I study in?
Sciences Po offers many English-taught Master's. Undergraduate tracks are bilingual or French-taught depending on the campus (Reims English-track is most popular with African applicants).
