Benefits of the University of Sydney Scholarships
A master’s by research or PhD degree offered within the University of Sydney shall be covered by the said scholarship. The amount is set at $35,629 a year for the 2021 awards. In addition, the scholarship covers OSHC, tuition, and living expenses.
Eligibility Criteria for International Students
In order to be qualified for a postgraduate international scholarship at the University of Sydney, you must first meet the following eligibility requirements:
- be a commencing or enrolled international student
- have an outstanding record of academic achievement and research potential
- have an unconditional offer of admission or be currently enrolled in a master’s by research or PhD at the University of Sydney.
How to Apply for a Postgraduate Scholarship
When applying for a postgraduate research degree, students should check the option to be considered for research scholarships when filling out the admission application. However, please do note that it is not necessary to submit a separate application.
Applications are accepted all year, with deadlines listed accordingly. International students have until September 30, 2021, to apply for research periods 1 and 2 in 2022. For research periods 3 and 4, 2022, the deadline for overseas students is November 30, 2021.
