About Bournemouth University

Bournemouth University is a public university in Bournemouth, England. Originally founded in 1992, this institution currently has over 16,000 learners, and international students make up almost one-fourth of the entire student population.

Furthermore, BU is recognized for its work in the media industry. The university is also one of the UK’s leading modern universities. Their teaching methods have produced forward-thinking graduates who are both flexible and successful in their respective fields.

International Student Postgraduate Scholarships at BU

While international students generally pay different fees than students in the UK, a broad range of financial support is also available to help offset costs and back foreign students who are just starting out professionally.

However, tuition fees to be paid for a postgraduate course will vary depending on the subject area the scholar will be studying and the type of postgraduate study they will undertake.

The following scholarships are available for international students looking to start their courses in September 2021 or January 2022:

BU Academic Excellence Scholarship

This opportunity provides a £3,500 tuition fee reduction fee for international students. As a requirement, applicants are expected to have a minimum of an upper second-class Honours degree from a UK university or equivalent.

BU Music Scholarship

For this postgraduate scholarship, foreign students must be able to demonstrate that they are talented musicians or vocalists. In addition, they have to prove that they have been involved in ensemble activity. The scholarship award is worth £600.

Chevening Scholarship Scheme

This external program in partnership with the Chevening Scholarship program will include a tuition fee waiver and other allowances. To qualify, one must be a full-time applicant for a postgraduate taught course.

Interested applicants must also be a citizen of a Chevening-eligible country at the time of application, who intends to return there at the end of the study.

Chevening Partner Scholarship Scheme

This program has similar provisions to the aforementioned scheme. The only difference lies within the courses to be taken. To become a candidate, full-time applicants for MSc Cyber Security & Human Factors and MA International Political Communication must be a citizen of a Chevening-eligible country at the time of application. Additionally, they must intend to return there at the end of the study.
