In early 2021, the popular streaming entertainment service Netflix has announced its commitment to supporting film & TV industry Black representation, specifically in South Africa.

If you’re someone from South Africa looking to make it big in the entertainment industry, then this opportunity may be for you. Learn more below.

Netflix has pledged to fund full post-graduate scholarships for South Africans who are aspiring creatives in film and TV disciplines.

To support the formal qualification and training of these Black creatives, the streaming service has partnered with Tshikululu Social Investments. The social investment fund management firm will serve as the implementing partner and fund administrator for the said project.
