Charles Darwin University’s competitive VCIHAS scholarship covers 50% of tuition for the minimum duration of an eligible undergraduate or postgraduate coursework degree. It is tuition support, not a living allowance or cash award. International applicants from African countries can apply. Eligibility and continuation Applicants must begin in their first offered Semester 1 or 2 intake in 2027, pay international fees, meet course and English requirements, and have at least 95% overall in their highest completed qualification. They cannot hold a scholarship from another Australian or overseas sponsoring agency or a second CDU tuition scholarship. Recipients must maintain GPA 5.3 or higher without failed units and normally enrol in 40 credit points each semester. Reduced load or leave requires approval. The remaining fees must be paid by the first teaching day. The scholarship is non-refundable and cannot be transferred to another person, semester, course or year. Apply First apply for a CDU course, then submit the separate VCIHAS form (https://www.cdu.edu.au/international/how-apply/scholarships/vice-chancellors-high-achievers-scholarship-vcihas-application), using the admission application number and requested supporting statements. Selection considers academic results and the statements; awards are limited. The published 2027 deadlines are 31 January for Semester 1 and 4 July for Semester 2.
