This research grant-in-aid aims to support outstanding, self-funded international students pursuing degrees at the University and to promote the enrollment of exceptional international students. Applications must be submitted through the applicant's affiliated or prospective Graduate School.

The University of Tokyo Fellowship supports international students pursuing doctoral degrees. It provides a monthly stipend to cover living expenses, and some or all tuition may be exempt.
