JSPS Postdoctoral Fellowship for Research in Japan (Standard) Provider: Japan Society for the Promotion of Science Study destination: Japan Study level: Postdoctoral research Award JPY 362,000 monthly, return airfare, JPY 200,000 settling-in allowance and insurance; 12–24 months. Eligibility Citizens of countries with diplomatic relations with Japan; PhD obtained within six years, with parental-leave adjustment; Japanese host required; Japanese permanent residents excluded. Previous recipients who started JSPS Standard or Pathway fellowships are excluded. Eligible African countries: Algeria, Angola, Benin, Botswana, Burkina Faso, Burundi, Cabo Verde, Cameroon, Central African Republic, Chad, Comoros, Democratic Republic of the Congo, Republic of the Congo, Côte d’Ivoire, Djibouti, Egypt, Equatorial Guinea, Eritrea, Eswatini, Ethiopia, Gabon, Gambia, Ghana, Guinea, Guinea-Bissau, Kenya, Lesotho, Liberia, Libya, Madagascar, Malawi, Mali, Mauritania, Mauritius, Morocco, Mozambique, Namibia, Niger, Nigeria, Rwanda, São Tomé and Príncipe, Senegal, Seychelles, Sierra Leone, Somalia, South Africa, South Sudan, Sudan, Tanzania, Togo, Tunisia, Uganda, Zambia, Zimbabwe.
