## About the KAS Scholarships The Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung (KAS) is one of Germany’s leading political foundations. Its scholarship programme supports excellent international students — many from African countries — pursuing a master’s or doctoral degree at a German higher-education institution. KAS combines financial support with a rich network of seminars, mentoring, and career development. ## Award value - Monthly stipend (around €992/month for master’s, €1,350/month for PhD) — rates updated by KAS annually - Health insurance contribution - Family and child allowances where applicable - Travel allowance - Access to seminars on politics, leadership, and democracy ## Eligibility - Non-German nationality (international students) - Already admitted to (or studying at) a recognised German university - Excellent academic record - Strong civic, political, or social engagement - Good command of German (usually B2+) — some PhD tracks accept English - Commitment to KAS values: democracy, rule of law, social market economy ## How to apply 1. Be enrolled or admitted at a German university. 2. Apply via the KAS online portal during one of the two annual application windows. 3. Submit motivation letter, academic transcripts, recommendation letters, proof of engagement. 4.
