## About the KAAD Scholarships The Katholischer Akademischer Ausländer-Dienst (KAAD) is the scholarship organisation of the Catholic Church in Germany for international students. The Africa scholarship line specifically targets candidates from sub-Saharan and North African partner countries, supporting master’s, doctoral, and post-doctoral studies at German universities. ## Award value - Full monthly stipend (~€992 master’s / ~€1,350 PhD) - Tuition (where charged), health insurance, travel, family allowance - German language course before studies - Academic and pastoral mentoring - Access to KAAD seminars and alumni network ## Eligibility - Nationality of a KAAD partner country (most African countries) - Catholic, Christian, or actively engaged in interreligious dialogue - Hold (or be about to complete) a relevant first degree - Be at least at the start of a master’s, PhD, or post-doctoral project at a German university - Recommendation from a local KAAD partner committee or church partner - German A2/B1 expected at arrival, B2 for studies ## How to apply 1. Contact the KAAD partner committee in your country (list on KAAD website). 2. Submit the KAAD application form, CV, motivation letter, study/research plan, transcripts, two references. 3.
