International undergraduate applicants from all countries, including every African country, who meet admission requirements and have not already earned a bachelor’s degree. Fall entry only. Transfer applications are considered, but places are extremely limited.

Berea College in Kentucky provides admitted international undergraduates with financial aid covering tuition, housing, food and fees. African applicants are eligible. This is admission-linked funding, not a separate scholarship contest or a first-year-only tuition offer. Funding and obligations Personal expenses are separate. Students must participate in Berea’s Work Program for at least ten hours per week. Accepted international students normally pay a US$2,200 enrollment deposit, which can later meet certain expenses. Applicants unable to afford it may receive additional aid or an adjustment; the I-20 is not issued until the required payment and forms are received. Berea does not provide accommodation or financial support for accompanying families. Who can apply Applicants must meet their country’s university-entry requirements and submit the required academic records and approved test scores. There is no exemption from the requirement to submit an accepted TOEFL, IELTS, SAT, ACT or Duolingo score. Those already holding a bachelor’s degree are ineligible. New international students enter in the fall only. Transfer applications are considered, but Berea generally prioritizes applicants without previous access to higher education. All prior university study must be disclosed. All components are due November 30. This is the provider’s published annual rule, with the next deadline falling on November 30, 2026, not a separately announced year-specific scholarship call. Do not use domestic early-action or transfer dates for an international application. Admission is highly competitive.
