## About the World Bank Group Internship Program The World Bank Group Internship Program (WBGIP) gives highly motivated graduate students the opportunity to contribute to the Bank's mission of ending extreme poverty and boosting shared prosperity. ## Two intakes - **Summer Internship** – June to September. Applications open December 1 and close January 31. - **Winter Internship** – December to March. Applications open September 1 and close October 31. Minimum duration: 4 weeks (preferred 2+ months). ## What is offered - Paid hourly salary at World Bank standard rates - Round-trip economy airfare for non-local interns - No relocation, housing or visa allowance - Real responsibility on operational and research teams ## Eligibility - Citizen of a World Bank Group member country - Currently enrolled in a full-time Master's or PhD programme - Planning to return to school after the internship - Relevant skills in economics, finance, public policy, social science, environment, engineering, IT or related fields - Fluency in English (additional languages a plus) ## How to apply Apply via the World Bank careers portal. Upload CV, transcripts, statement of interest and proof of enrollment. Placements are offered in Washington, DC and country offices including Nairobi, Pretoria, Abuja, Dakar and Addis Ababa.
