Junior researchers (PhD candidates and early postdocs) who are nationals of and based in sub-Saharan African countries, with a confirmed host institution in a different African country. Applications must be submitted in English.

## Overview AGNES, the African-German Network of Excellence in Science, offers Intra-Africa Mobility Grants funded by Germany's BMZ with support from the Alexander von Humboldt Foundation. Grants let junior researchers based in sub-Saharan Africa carry out part of their work at a host institution in another African country. A dedicated stream supports women researchers. ## What it covers Up to EUR 3,000 towards travel, accommodation and research costs during the mobility period. ## How to apply Apply directly to AGNES during the annual call, which has recently closed at the end of November. You need a host institution, a supervisor's support and a clear research plan.
