Faculty of Engineering & The Built Environment Entrance Scholarships

Entrance Scholarships are awarded to applicants on the basis of National Senior Certificate (NSC) achievement in open and redress pools. Unless otherwise stated, eligibility for all Entrance Scholarships is restricted to South African citizens and to South African permanent residents. Faculty Entrance Scholarships are for undergraduate students who are applying to enter UCT for the first time, and are for the first year of academic study.

These scholarships are for first-time entering undergraduate students in the Faculty of Engineering & the Built Environment at UCT. They are awarded based on academic merit and aim to encourage gender diversity, with 60% of awards going towards achieving this.
