نظرة عامة على البرنامج
MAiSI is an Erasmus Mundus Joint Master Degree in Sports Ethics and Integrity, delivered by a consortium led by Swansea University with KU Leuven, Charles University Prague, the University of the Peloponnese and the Pompeu Fabra University Barcelona. It is one of the only specialised global master's programmes in sports governance, doping control, match-fixing investigation and athlete welfare. ## Why this scholarship matters for African applicants African sports federations, anti-doping organisations and integrity units are growing investment areas (e.g. Confederation of African Football reforms, AFL anti-doping). MAiSI graduates are well-placed to lead integrity work at WADA, the Court of Arbitration for Sport, national Olympic committees, FIFPRO and athlete welfare bodies on the continent. ## What the award covers Full tuition for the two-year master's, one-off €1,000 travel and installation grant, additional travel allowance for Partner Country students (most African countries qualify), and a monthly living stipend of €1,400 paid for the full duration of the programme. Health and travel insurance included. ## How the selection process works Apply directly to the MAiSI consortium through the Swansea University admissions portal. Application requires a bachelor's degree (any discipline, though law, sports science, policy and journalism backgrounds are common), English-language proficiency, two references and a 1,000-word motivation essay tied to the consortium's research strengths. ## Application tips that move the needle Lead the motivation essay with a specific integrity or ethics challenge in African sport — match-fixing in domestic leagues, anti-doping capacity gaps, athlete welfare gaps in academies. Cite the work of a named consortium professor and explain how the programme will help you address that challenge. ## Deadlines and intake windows Scholarship-eligible application deadline typically falls in early February for September intake. Check the official MAiSI page on the Erasmus Mundus catalogue for the exact date. ## Useful internal reading - Browse open scholarships: https://scholarshipsforafricans.com/scholarships - How to write a winning scholarship essay: https://scholarshipsforafricans.com/blog/how-to-write-winning-scholarship-essay - Scholarship interview questions for African students: https://scholarshipsforafricans.com/blog/scholarship-interview-questions-african-students Always confirm the live intake on the sponsor's official site before you build a timeline around it.
