The Alfred Friendly Press Partners Fellowship invites print, broadcast, and online journalists from developing countries for an annual program that brings global journalists to American newsrooms.

Alfred Friendly Press Partners Fellowship Details

Early-career journalists from developing countries with a proficiency in the English language are welcomed to apply for the fellowship, to be held at the Missouri School of Journalism and several newsrooms across the USA.

The six-month program aims to equip fellows with a better experience in reporting, writing, and editing that will enhance future professional performance. Additionally, fellows will receive travel, health insurance, and basic living expenses coverage.

In addition, the program also intends to transfer knowledge gained during the program to colleagues back at the fellows’ home countries. Lastly, it aims to foster ties between journalists in the United States as well as those around the world.

The ​all-inclusive ​fellowship starts in mid-March and ends in early September.
