KaS Foundation, also known as Konrad Adenauer Stiftung, annually offers scholarships for Africans and other international students who demonstrate outstanding results in their bachelor’s or graduate studies. Furthermore, KaS releases its scholarships twice a year on June 1 and December 1, respectively.
As a political foundation, KaS handles over 200 projects in more approximately 120 countries. Their civic education programs zone in on the promotion of freedom and liberty as well as peace and justice. Meanwhile, their events and activities generally aim to provide moral and material support for intellectually gifted young international students. This effort is not only extended to Germans, but from Central and East Europeans, Asians, and Africans as well.
Benefits of a KaS Foundation Scholarship
Three winners will be picked for the KaS Foundation Contest Scholarships. The first-placer will receive $1,500 while the second-placer will get $1,000. Lastly, the third-placer shall have $500 as scholarship aid.

How Can International Students Apply?
The KaS Foundation extends the submission to current international high school, college, or university student from any country. However, the aspiring applicants must meet the required 2.5 or better grade point average. In addition, winners will be asked to send proof of their academic status and enrollment.
In order to start the application process for the contest scholarship, Africans and other international students must:
- Complete and submit the KaS Foundation Scholarship application.
- Upload their CV or Resume (optional).
- Provide a copy of their unofficial transcripts in the Academic History section.
- Self-report GRE or GMAT scores (optional) in the Standardized Tests tile in the Academic History section.
Other things that applicants must remember to include in their application include the following:
- First and last name
- School and education
- Short presentation of themselves
- Master thesis, description, and summary (for international graduate students)
- Studies abroad and description of studies (if applicable)
