Fee-paying citizens outside the EU/EEA and Switzerland, including African citizens, who demonstrate academic talent. An eligible Uppsala master’s must be the first-priority choice on University Admissions; admission requirements, documents and fee deadlines must be met.

Programme category: Scholarship Application status checked on 22 October 2026: UPCOMING. The Uppsala University Global Scholarship covers full tuition for an eligible international master’s programme in Sweden. It does not fund living expenses. The confirmed autumn 2027 scholarship application window is 16 January–1 February 2027, so applications are not yet open as of 22 October 2026. Eligibility Fee-paying citizens outside the EU/EEA and Switzerland, including African citizens, must demonstrate academic talent and rank their eligible Uppsala master’s first at University Admissions. Apply for admission on time and meet the programme’s entry, supporting-document and application-fee requirements. A scholarship application cannot repair a late admission application. Excluded programmes are Environmental Law (Joint Nordic), EACH, NABiS, Euroculture, MEME, Global Markets/Local Creativities, Implementation/Transformative Learning/Sustainability, International Humanitarian Action, PANGEA, Religion in Peace and Conflict, and Transformative Game Design. How to apply Admission and scholarship applications are separate. First submit the degree application and keep its eight-digit application number. When the scholarship window opens, follow the official application guide (https://www.uu.se/en/study/masters-studies/scholarships/application-guide); its form link will be published then. The scholarship application requires personal details, the admission application number and a motivation of no more than 350 words, not additional document uploads. There is no scholarship application fee, but admission charges remain separate. Applicants may select multiple qualifying Uppsala scholarships in the form, but can receive only one. Selection is highly competitive. Application timing Confirmed scholarship window: 16 January–1 February 2027 for autumn 2027 entry.
