## Overview The International Council on Mining and Metals (ICMM) and One Young World offer the ICMM Young Leaders Scholarship to identify and support impactful young leaders globally. This scholarship aims to empower individuals driving positive change in areas such as biodiversity conservation, decarbonisation, responsible natural resource production, social performance, and sustainability within the mining and metals sector. Selected scholars will attend the One Young World Summit 2026 in Cape Town, South Africa. ## Eligibility * Aged 18 - 35 at the time of the One Young World Summit 2026. * Leading inspiring initiatives/projects or driving meaningful change with proven impact in at least one of the following areas: Biodiversity conservation, Decarbonisation, Responsible natural resource production, Social performance (community resilience, human rights etc.), or Promoting and communicating action on sustainability. * Willingness to engage with fellow scholarship recipients. * Candidates older than 35 may be considered upon demonstration of appropriate personal impact, initiative, and willingness to engage. ## Benefits * Full funding to participate in the One Young World Summit 2026 in Cape Town, South Africa (3 - 6 November). * Exclusive dialogue with the ICMM CEO on the sidelines of the Summit. * Lifelong membership of the One Young World Ambassador Community. * Access to the One Young World Action Accelerator and expert-led mentor sessions. * Access to the One Young World Global Kickstart programme for enhanced leadership skills and principles. ## How to apply Applicants must apply through the application portal provided on the official One Young World website. Additional documentation such as references, a pitch video, and/or a video call with representatives of One Young World and ICMM may be requested as part of the application process.
