## Overview The Queen Elizabeth Commonwealth Scholarships (QECS) provide a unique opportunity for students to pursue a two-year master's degree at an ACU member university located in a low or middle-income Commonwealth country. These scholarships are designed for individuals committed to driving positive change within their communities. Scholars gain international experience, broaden their horizons, and build a lasting global network through cultural exchange and academic collaboration. The program seeks to empower scholars to address shared global challenges in their home and host countries, contributing to the future of the Commonwealth network. ## Eligibility - Must have attained a minimum of a 2:1 or equivalent at the undergraduate level. - Specific course requirements for each university and program must be met. - For South African institutions, applicants with overseas qualifications must complete the South African Qualifications Authority (SAQA) evaluation process. ## Benefits - Fully-funded tuition fees. - Living allowance (stipend) for the duration of the award. - Return economy flights to the host country. - One-off arrival allowance. - Research Support Grant (available on request only, subject to approval). ## How to apply 1. Review the list of eligible countries and universities offering scholarships for the current cycle. Only listed courses are eligible for funding. 2. Ensure you meet the minimum academic requirement of a 2:1 or equivalent at the undergraduate level. 3. Visit the specific university website for your chosen course to gather more detailed information. 4. Complete and submit a QECS application for your chosen university/course via the 'Apply now' button. If you do not have a myACU account, create one. 5. Separately, submit an application directly to your chosen university for admission to your selected course. For some universities (e.g., Tshwane University of Technology), you will need to provide your university application ID in the QECS form.
