## Funding Tuition and accommodation up to R180,000. Available for first/second-year master’s registration. Second-year renewal depends on satisfactory progress and available funds and is not guaranteed. The applicant declaration excludes concurrent government-sponsored awards or private-company funding. ## Eligibility South African and other sub-Saharan African citizens registering full-time at UCT for Chemical Engineering or another engineering master’s relevant to mining, intending a mining career. Merit and demonstrated financial need determine selection. Employment exceeding 20 hours/week disqualifies. ## Application timing Complete applications must be received BEFORE 20 November 2026. No closing time/timezone stated; submit early, not at an assumed midnight cutoff.
