Highly qualified international first-year undergraduates who submit complete admission applications. All African nationalities may be considered; U.S./dual U.S. citizens, permanent residents and eligible noncitizens use domestic aid procedures.

Programme category: Scholarship Application status checked on 22 October 2026: OPEN. Fordham University in New York automatically considers complete international undergraduate admission applications for competitive merit scholarships. First-year awards are US$10,000–25,000 per year. African applicants are eligible under the international applicant rules. Awards appear in the online admission letter; no separate merit form is required. What the award does and does not cover This is partial funding, not a full-cost scholarship. Families must finance the remaining study, living and personal expenses. The annual award stays at its initial amount for up to four years, provided the student meets Fordham’s applicable GPA and satisfactory academic progress requirements. Do not assume an unsupported universal GPA threshold or increases to match rising costs. Need-based aid is a separate, limited process, not a requirement for merit consideration. It requires a timely CSS Profile and, under current international rules, demonstrated ability to contribute at least US$50,000 per year. Fordham does not provide CSS fee waivers. International admission is need-aware. International transfers may be considered separately for partial merit awards up to US$25,000, but are not eligible for need-based aid.
