## About DAAD Scholarships (Germany) The Deutscher Akademischer Austauschdienst (DAAD) is the world’s largest funder of international academic exchange. Each year DAAD awards thousands of scholarships to African students and researchers across more than 200 programmes covering master’s, PhD, postdoctoral research, short courses, and university partnerships. ## Headline programmes for African students - **EPOS (Development-Related Postgraduate Courses)** — fully funded master’s in development-relevant fields - **Helmut-Schmidt Programme (Public Policy & Good Governance)** — fully funded master’s in public policy - **Leadership for Africa** — master’s programme for refugees and internally displaced students - **In-Region / In-Country Scholarships** — master’s and PhD scholarships at African host universities - **Research Grants for Doctoral Candidates** — bi-nationally supervised or full PhDs in Germany - **DLR-DAAD Research Fellowships** — postdoc and PhD positions at the German Aerospace Centre ## Award value - Monthly stipend (~€934 master’s / ~€1,300 PhD, programme-dependent) - Travel allowance, health/accident/liability insurance - Tuition fees (where charged) - Family and study/research allowances - German language course before studies ## How to apply 1.
