Présentation du programme

## Overview Sustainable Renewable Energy Technologies (SuRE) — known for decades as PPRE — has graduated more than 560 people from about 85 countries since 1987. It is a broad, practical master's in renewable energy for scientists and engineers, with labs, outdoor experiments, company visits and an external training placement. ## Level and destination Two-year MSc at the University of Oldenburg, Germany, starting in the winter term (October). A related European Master in Renewable Energy (EMRE) track sends students to a partner university for the second semester. ## Eligibility for African applicants * A completed regular academic programme in engineering or a natural science — at least a six-semester, 180-credit bachelor's. * Certified proof of English-language competence, for example TOEFL. * Professional experience in or related to renewable energy or rural development: welcomed from everyone, **mandatory for DAAD applicants**. * Full compliance with the DAAD EPOS document list — incomplete applications are excluded from selection. ## Funding coverage and exclusions DAAD EPOS support: monthly living stipend, health insurance and travel costs, per the DAAD EPOS scheme. The programme pages do not state how tuition is handled for scholarship holders, so confirm that separately with the programme office. ## Deadline — use the scholarship date * **15 October 2026** — DAAD EPOS-sponsored places, for studies starting October 2027. This is the date that matters if you need funding. * 15 January 2027 — regular places for self-financed or externally sponsored students, all countries. Applying by this later date will not put you in the scholarship round. Applications open via uni-assist from 15 August 2026. ## How to apply 1. Prepare the programme's requirements and, separately, everything on the DAAD EPOS document list. 2. Apply through uni-assist — paper applications are not accepted. 3. Submit before 15 October 2026. A selection committee reviews DAAD candidates after the first deadline. ## Official links Application: [uol.de/en/ppre/application](https://uol.de/en/ppre/application) · Programme: [SuRE / PPRE](https://uol.de/en/ppres) **Verified:** 19 September 2026.
