## Overview The MSc Agricultural Economics at the University of Hohenheim in Stuttgart is an English-taught, research-focused master's in the economics of food, agriculture, environment and rural development, and is funded by DAAD under the EPOS initiative for development-related postgraduate courses. ## Level and destination Four-semester, 120-credit MSc, taught in English, at the University of Hohenheim, Germany, starting in October. ## Eligibility for African applicants * From a DAAD-eligible developing country. * Relevant bachelor's degree with a strong academic record. * At least two years' qualifying professional experience after that degree — typically in a public authority, state institution or private company in a developing country, engaged in planning or delivering development-related work. * English-language evidence as required by the programme. * Must meet both the DAAD EPOS requirements and the AgEcon admission criteria. ## Funding coverage For EPOS award holders: * Tuition fees waived for the two years of the master's. * Monthly living stipend. * Health insurance. * Travel costs to Germany and back, plus research travel. * An intensive German language course in Germany from August to September, before the master's begins. Applicants who are citizens of certain African, Caribbean and Pacific states or a Least Developed Country can separately request exemption from the international tuition fee. ## Dates — annual window, 2027 not yet confirmed The programme publishes a standing cycle rather than dated calls: * Scholarship applications: **15 November – 15 December**. * Awardees selected: February. * German language course: from August. * Master's begins: October. We have deliberately not stored a year-specific deadline. Check the AgEcon scholarships page from early November for the 2027 dates. ## How to apply 1. Read the DAAD EPOS requirements and the AgEcon selection criteria together — you must satisfy both. 2. Prepare degree documents, transcripts, proof of two years' relevant work, English-language evidence and the DAAD forms. 3.
