## Overview The Beit Trust awards fully funded postgraduate Masters scholarships exclusively to nationals of Malawi, Zambia and Zimbabwe, tenable at partner universities in the United Kingdom (Cambridge, Oxford, Edinburgh, Glasgow, Leeds, St Andrews and others) and South Africa. Nineteen scholarships were awarded in the latest round. ## Benefits - Tuition fees at the partner university. - Return airfare from Malawi to the host country. - Maintenance/living allowance and settling-in grant. - Thesis, book and warm-clothing allowances. ## Eligibility - Nationals **and** permanent residents of Malawi, Zambia or Zimbabwe. - Must live in and/or intend to return to the home country after study. - Masters level only; PhD funding is only granted in exceptional cases to existing Beit Scholars. - Preference for a Distinction or Upper Second Class first degree plus roughly three years of relevant professional work experience. - Applicants who already hold a postgraduate degree, or who have already started a course, are generally not considered. ## How to apply Apply directly through the Beit Trust website during the open window. The next round covers UK partner universities starting September 2027 and South African partner universities starting January 2028: applications open **1 December 2026** and close **12 February 2027** — nothing is processed after that date.
