Africa Climate Collaborative PhD Fellowships in Climate and Development 2027 (UCT)

Critères d'éligibilité

Citizens of an African country (including those living outside Africa), under 35 on 1 February 2027, with a completed master's degree in the discipline listed for the chosen topic. Apply for one topic only; winners must then be admitted to a UCT PhD. Women and applicants with lived experience of displacement or disability are encouraged.

Présentation du programme

Hosted by UCT's African Climate & Development Initiative, the doctoral training programme starts in 2027. The 2027 award is R390,000 — R315,000 for stipend and fees plus up to R75,000 for relocation, medical insurance and research costs — and rises 2–4% a year.
