Programme category: Scholarship Application status checked on 22 October 2026: UPCOMING. The KTH Scholarship covers the full tuition fee for an eligible one- or two-year master’s programme in Sweden. Continued support in the second year requires satisfactory first-year results. It does not fund living expenses. Applicants from African countries can qualify if they are fee-paying, meet the admission requirements, rank the KTH programme first and pay the application fee. Programmes placed second, third or fourth cannot receive this award. Selection considers academic excellence, the awarding university, relevant experience and achievements, and motivation to contribute to sustainable development. Eligible routes include master’s programmes with two years at KTH, Molecular Techniques in Life Science, Biostatistics and Data Science, and the one-year Architectural Lighting Design programme. Joint Erasmus+ and EIT programmes and Computer Simulations for Science and Engineering are excluded. Apply for the master’s programme through University Admissions first. Then submit the separate KTH scholarship form between 1 December 2026 and 15 January 2027. The form will be on the official scholarship page; no additional scholarship documents are required. KTH uses the admission documents, which must arrive by 1 February. Scholarship results are due on 1 April 2027. Programme admissions are already open, but scholarship applications are not. The national application fee and its deadline remain separate from the tuition scholarship. Application timing Scholarship opens 1 December 2026 and closes 15 January 2027.
