Programme category: Scholarship Application status checked on 22 October 2026: UPCOMING. Karolinska Institutet’s Global Master’s Scholarship covers tuition fees for selected fee-paying master’s students. Students must finance accommodation, travel and living expenses themselves. Applicants from all African countries can be considered if they remain liable for tuition fees throughout their studies. Rank a KI master’s programme first in the Swedish national application system. Applicants admitted to a lower-ranked KI option may still qualify when KI was their first choice. The joint programmes Molecular Techniques in Life Science and Biostatistics and Data Science are excluded from this KI award. First apply for an eligible programme through University Admissions by 15 January 2027. Meet its degree, English-language and subject requirements, follow the application-fee instructions, and submit supporting documents and the KI CV form by 1 February. Then make a separate scholarship application directly to KI between 8 and 24 February 2027. The link will appear on the official scholarship page when the window opens. Admission alone does not enter you automatically. Final selection considers admitted students using the programme’s KI CV merit rating; tied highest ratings are settled by lottery. Scholarship results are scheduled for 26 April 2027. Successful candidates must accept through the emailed form by 30 April. As of 22 October 2026, programme admissions are open but the scholarship application is upcoming. Application timing Scholarship application: 8–24 February 2027.
